VIB Rouge

I can't believe this happened and it's only June, but I made it to the top in Sephora's Beauty Insiders program. I was so excited when I finally got to VIB Rouge, but at the same time a little bit disappointed in myself for spending that much money at one store in less than 6 months lol.
I thought I would share with you what I got for becoming VIB Rouge.
Below are some pictures of the welcome packet.

The VIB Rouge Card did not come with this welcome packet, but I picked it up in store.
It's a plastic card unlike the VIB or Beauty Insider card.

Benefit Cosmetics | They're Real! Push-Up Liner

As soon as I heard about this eyeliner I knew I had to get my hands on it.
Now that I have, I can confirm that it is as amazing as I had expected!
I'm the kind of girl who can never do a good cat eye, but with this it was SO easy!
I was able to do it on my first try!
The eyeliner is $24.
First of all, I thought it was strange that the cap was a screw on, but I suppose that it keeps the eyeliner safe preventing the cap from falling off.
In the directions it says to remove the tap off the end where the eyeliner comes out then to twist the bottom until the product comes out. You have to twist a lot before it starts to show.
Then it says that one twist should be enough to line both eyes each day.
I want to stress that it also says to stamp the eyeliner on, not just sweep it across. I noticed that some other people were complaining on the product dragging and I'm assuming that they didn't read the directions and are trying to glide it on the eyelid.

Formula X System Review: Cleanser, Base & Top Coat

I have tried various base and top coats with my nail polish and they have been good. However, this set is amazing!
A majority of the time that I use this, my manicure will last a week with minimal chipping. I'm amazed at how well this set works.

When I first saw this, I was like, "what's the cleanser for?" This helps remove oils off the top of your nails to help the polish last longer and it all made sense to me. Looking back to when I get my nails done at the salon they always seem to do something similar and it really does make a difference.

My suggestion is to let the base coat completely dry before starting with the color. This might be obvious, but sometimes I want to try and rush through my nails and it doesn't turn out as well.

This "system" is $32 exclusively at Sephora and comes with a free Formula X polish of your choice. So it's a Cleanser, Base Coat, Polish, and Top Coat, which is a pretty good deal. Their polishes run between $10.50 and $12.50, so I would suggest getting one that $12.50 to get the most out of your purchase.

It's definitely become my favorite and if you are a nail polish fan I would check this out!

M.A.C Kelly Yum Yum Lipstick

When I saw this lipstick online, I was like "I have to have that!"
It's a blue toned pink with a satin finish and part of the Kelly Osbourne collection.
It was $17.50 and is so beautiful in my opinion. It is also the only item I picked up from the collection.
However, it is sold out online where it launched June 2nd. The collection launched in store on June 12th. I went the day it launched early in the morning and there was already only 9 left! So you might have a hard time getting your hands on this at first.
I love it! And it feels really nice on :)

Here is a swatch of it on the back of my hand.

Organizing Stud Earrings

Stud earrings were something that I would always forget about because I would keep them in a box and I just wouldn't notice them. I wanted a way that I could see them all and keep them organized.
With the help of Pinterest I found the idea of using a cork board!

It's so simple, it looks really pretty, and best of all they are all organized and I can see them!

Not only is this idea good for just earrings, but its really nice for statement necklaces too. You can use push pins to secure them on the board and they look beautiful on display.

Below are two different ways I organized them on the cork board.

Choosing A College Roommate

You may not know this, but I am a college student and I attend San Francisco State University.
I have lived though the campus housing for two years; each being completely different experiences. A roommate is someone important and they can make or break your school year.

My number one suggestion is that if you're in a bad roommate situation is to try and switch roommates—I didn't do that and I wish I had.

Hopefully this video can be somewhat helpful to you if you're going to be living thought your school next fall.  If you have an questions about college or anything, I'll be happy to try and answer them.

Güd Body Lotion Review

I'm just going to flat out say that I love this stuff. It smells good enough to eat! I have tried three of the scents: Pearanormal Activity (pear & açai berry), Mango Moonbreeze (island mango & jasmine), and Orange Petalooza (blood orange flower). They are all so good, my favorite being Pearanormal Activity, and leave your skin smelling delicious and super hydrated.

Güd is from Burt's Bees and is natural. It also isn't tested on animals, formulated without paragons, phthalates, or petrochemicals, the bottle is made with 25% post-consumer plastic, and it's made in the USA.

I pick mine up at Target, where it retails for around $6.49; however, for some reason some of the different scents do very in price. There are six scents total including Red Ruby Groovy (grapefruit & thyme), Floral Cherrynova (cherry blossom & almond milk) and Vanilla Flame (vanilla & rice milk).
Besides just body lotion the scents come in shampoo, conditioner, wipes, body wash, body butter, and hand cream.

Orly Frolic Perfect Color of The Year 2014

If you are looking for the perfect orchid nail polish shade, this is it! This is Orly's nail polish in Frolic and I think it's absolutely beautiful! The formula is fantastic and it lasts a long time without chipping.
The plus is that this looks amazing with a tan, so it's perfect for summer! In the picture below I used two coats along with Sephora's Formula X primer, base and top coat.

Below is a picture of Frolic next to the Sephora+Pantone Universe lip balm from the Radiant Orchid line.

I absolutely love this polish and highly recommend it.
